Iron Fish lurks among new releases on Steam

There doesn’t appear to be much survival going in Iron Fish, at least not of the collect-berries-and-build-a-shelter variety, but as a generously discounted new release on Steam it looks worthy of consideration, offering what appears to be a combination of underwater exploration and mystery horror – the horror being of course what can happen if you get drunk on a fishing trip and drop your phone in the ocean.

No, wait, there’s apparently more to it than that. I’ve just watched the launch trailer and can exclusively reveal that Iron Fish is about even stranger goings on at the bottom of sea. Here, more evidence:

Discover what lies forgotten in the abyss. Play as Cerys, a deep sea investigator for an elite British Naval group, and use her state-of-the-art, government-funded equipment to submerge as far as we can go. But no amount of technology can prepare you for the horrors of the deep. Survival is tough, plan your excursions carefully; a miscalculation will leave you lost at sea. And that’s when what’s lurking comes out of hiding…
